Philippine Airlines Adds More Manila–Canada Flights for Late 2026
Philippine Airlines is set to add more nonstop capacity between Manila and Canada toward the end of 2026, giving passengers more options on two of its key long-haul routes.
According to reports citing PAL’s announcement, Manila–Vancouver flights are scheduled to rise from seven to 10 weekly services from 17 November 2026. Manila–Toronto flights are due to increase from three to four weekly services from 5 December 2026.
The additional Canada flights are part of a wider North America schedule expansion. PAL is also increasing Manila–New York JFK services from December and has separately announced Manila–Chicago flights from November 2026.
What changes for passengers
The change should add booking flexibility for travelers flying between Canada and the Philippines during the late-year travel period, including people visiting family, taking longer Asia trips, or connecting onward through Manila.
For inbound visitors, Manila remains the main PAL gateway for domestic and regional connections. PAL and travel-industry reports say the expanded North America schedule is intended to improve onward access via Manila to destinations such as Bangkok, Bali, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hanoi and Phnom Penh, alongside domestic Philippine connections.
Travelers should still check the final operating days, aircraft type, fares and connection times directly with Philippine Airlines before booking. Long-haul schedules can change, and extra frequencies may appear gradually in booking systems.
Routes and dates reported
- Manila–Vancouver: planned increase from seven to 10 weekly flights from 17 November 2026.
- Manila–Toronto: planned increase from three to four weekly flights from 5 December 2026.
- Manila–New York JFK: planned increase from three to four weekly flights from 2 December 2026, with an additional peak-season weekly flight reported for December 2026 to January 2027.
The Canada expansion is also being welcomed by Philippine diplomatic officials as a boost to two-way tourism. The Philippine Embassy in Canada told the Philippine News Agency that Canada ranked fifth among foreign visitor arrival markets for the Philippines in 2025, with 333,136 arrivals, up from 269,300 in 2024.
Passengers planning late-2026 Canada–Philippines trips should compare the new nonstop options with one-stop routings through other Asian hubs, especially if they are connecting beyond Manila to island destinations or returning during the December–January peak period.
