What is GoAsia?
GoAsia answers the questions that come up when you travel through Asia: How do I get from A to B? Which train, bus or ferry runs, how long does it take and where does it leave from? Can I cross this border, and what do I need for entry? We cover transport routes, stations and piers, border crossings, sights and practical travel topics across the region.
Why we built it
Reliable travel information for Asia is scattered. Timetables sit on operator websites in local languages, entry rules change at short notice, and many travel pages repeat details that stopped being true years ago. We bring the primary sources together, prepare them clearly and keep them up to date.
How we work
Every fact on GoAsia should go back to a source that can know it: operators, stations, ports, immigration and tourism authorities, governments and official statistics. We review our pages regularly, starting with the most visited ones, and we correct errors as soon as we learn about them. We use modern research tools and AI to read official sources in many languages and to keep a large number of pages current, within clear editorial rules.
How we check our informationWho we are
GoAsia is run by a company based in Germany. It provides the framework: editorial rules, workflows, technology and administration. The editorial work is done by our editors, who live in Asia, in the region we write about. They travel by train, bus and ferry themselves, and that experience shapes which questions we answer and how. GoAsia is not a travel blog: our focus is practical, verifiable information rather than personal stories.
