Thailand की State Railway of Thailand 1 August 2026 से Bangkok और Ayutthaya के बीच रोज़ चलने वाली air-conditioned commuter rail service शुरू करने की तैयारी कर रही है, जिससे राजधानी से मंदिरों और विरासत स्थलों की यात्राओं के लिए यात्रियों को एक ज़्यादा सीधा विकल्प मिलेगा।
SRT Bangkok Connex या BNEX नाम से चलने वाली यह सेवा Bangkok के Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal और Ayutthaya के बीच चलने की रिपोर्ट है। यात्रियों के लिए यह एक व्यावहारिक बदलाव है, क्योंकि Krung Thep Aphiwat Bangkok के व्यापक रेल नेटवर्क, including suburban rail and MRT access, से जुड़ा है; Don Mueang से अलग शुरुआत करने की ज़रूरत नहीं होगी।
1 अगस्त से क्या बदलेगा
कई Thai media outlets की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार SRT की जानकारी में यह नई सेवा पहले वाली Don Mueang–Ayutthaya commuter operation को आगे बढ़ाकर Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal से शुरू और वहीं समाप्त करेगी। इस route पर Japan से लाई गई refurbished KIHA 40/48 diesel रेलकारें चलेंगी, जिन्हें air-conditioned commuter trains में बदला गया है।
यह सेवा हर दिन चलेगी, और weekdays तथा weekends के लिए अलग-अलग pattern होंगे:
- Monday to Friday: दिन में छह services, नंबर 9001 से 9006 तक, और संचालन 5.15am से शुरू होगा।
- Saturday and Sunday: दिन में चार services, नंबर 9003 से 9006 तक, और संचालन 9.05am से शुरू होगा।
सप्ताहांत का timetable Ayutthaya की leisure trips को ध्यान में रखकर बनाया गया है। Ayutthaya Thailand के प्रमुख historical destinations में से एक है और Bangkok से आम day trip भी। Tourism Authority of Thailand के अनुसार Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Bangkok से लगभग 86 kilometres उत्तर में है, और historical park तथा temple ruins इसकी मुख्य attractions में शामिल हैं।
प्रारंभिक किराए
SRT 1 August से 31 October 2026 तक तीन महीने की promotional fare period भी शुरू कर रहा है। उस अवधि में reported fares ये हैं:
- 30 baht Krung Thep Aphiwat से Don Mueang, Rangsit और Khlong Phutsa तक के stations के लिए।
- Up to 50 baht Bang Pa-in, Ban Pho और Ayutthaya तक की लंबी यात्राओं के लिए।
यात्रियों को इन promotional fares और train numbers को launch-period information मानना चाहिए और सफ़र से पहले official SRT timetable, D-Ticket system या station counters पर जाँच कर लेनी चाहिए, खासकर route शुरू होने के शुरुआती दिनों में।
Bangkok से Ayutthaya day trip की योजना
Ayutthaya पहले से northern और northeastern lines की दूसरी trains से भी जुड़ा हुआ है, इसलिए यह Bangkok से आने का एकमात्र rail option नहीं है। नया BNEX service मुख्यतः उन यात्रियों के लिए उपयोगी है जो Bangkok के main intercity rail terminal से air-conditioned, कम-खर्च वाली ट्रेन चाहते हैं और जिनके लिए schedule का कुछ हिस्सा weekend sightseeing के हिसाब से बनाया गया है।
Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal central Bangkok के उत्तर में है। Sukhumvit, Silom, Siam या old town के आसपास ठहरने वाले यात्रियों को departure से पहले station तक पहुँचने के लिए समय रखना चाहिए, खासकर सुबह की trains के लिए। Ayutthaya station historical island के पूर्व में है; पहुँचने के बाद यात्रियों को आम तौर पर temples और riverside areas तक जाने के लिए tuk-tuk, bicycle, scooter, taxi या local transport लेना पड़ता है।
