Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad is one of the main travel routes between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. IndiGo operates eight non-stop flights from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad, which take around 1 hour 20 minutes.[1] Trains run overnight and by day to Hyderabad and to Secunderabad, which is part of the same urban area and may be the more convenient arrival station depending on where you are staying.
Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad by Flight
Flying is by far the fastest option. IndiGo advertises fares from ₹3,797 on its route page (October 2026), and the fare depends on the date and how early you book.[1] The flight is short, but the travel day is longer than the air time: add the transfer to Visakhapatnam airport, check-in, security, baggage claim and the road into Hyderabad. Check baggage rules before you book, because a cheap fare can become less attractive once checked luggage is added.
