• Arrive Early: Batangas Pier is one of the busiest ports in the country. For short crossings, Montenegro asks passengers to be at the port 1 hour before departure.^[1] Allow extra time for terminal fees and security checks.
• Terminal Fees: A terminal fee is paid at the port, separately from your ferry ticket. • Check the Weather: During the typhoon season, sailings can be cancelled at short notice when the coast guard issues a gale warning. Check the forecast before heading to the pier.

• Motion Sickness: The Verde Island Passage can be choppy, especially in the monsoon seasons. If you are prone to sea sickness, choose a seat in the middle of the vessel or take medication before boarding.
