PITX (Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange): travel guide
PITX, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, is Metro Manila's main bus terminal for the south. Provincial buses to Batangas, Quezon, Laguna, Bicol and Mindoro leave here, along with Cavite and Tagaytay services, a few long-haul trips to the Visayas and Mindanao, and some northern buses to Baguio. It is the first "landport" in the Philippines and sits next to the LRT-1 PITX station (also called Asia World). If you want the north (Pangasinan, Ilocos, Cagayan), most of those buses leave from Cubao, Sampaloc or Pasay instead.
Location and how to get there
PITX is at #1 Kennedy Road, Tambo, Parañaque City, on Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard and CAVITEX, which connect the south with Metro Manila. The official phone numbers are 8396-3817 to 18.
- LRT-1: PITX station, on the LRT-1 Cavite Extension, connects to the terminal. The operator announced on 9 October 2026 that it is adding ticket booths, express lanes for stored value cards and a reconfigured gate area because of long queues at peak hours. Expect a queue at the station at busy times.
- EDSA Carousel: PITX's own page lists the EDSA Carousel bus from Cubao, Megamall, Ayala (MRT), Pasay Rotonda, MOA and MCU. Buses to the EDSA Busway board at Gate 10 on the ground floor.
- City buses and jeepneys: routes listed by PITX include Quezon Avenue, Lawton and NLET buses, Divisoria and Blumentritt jeepneys, Vito Cruz via MOA modern jeepneys, Alabang buses and a BGC bus.
- Car: parking is open 24 hours, and the third floor is for private vehicles.

Booth 3 handles Mindoro and Davao Metro Shuttle. Booth 4 (ground floor) covers Batangas (Ceres-Goldstar, ALPS, N. Dela Rosa, DLTB, JAM Liner). Booth 6 handles Quezon Province, Laguna and Baguio City (A&B Liner, Barney Auto Line, P&O Transport, JAM Liner, Pangasinan Solid North, Dela Rosa Express). Booths 2 and 5 were listed as temporarily closed.
Destinations include Lucena, Guinayangan and San Andres in Quezon, Sta. Cruz in Laguna, Batangas City, Lemery, San Juan, Lipa and Nasugbu, and in Bicol Naga, Daet, Legazpi, Tabaco, Virac, Pilar, Bulan, Gubat and Matnog. GoAsia guides: Manila to Batangas, Manila to Lipa, Manila to Lemery, Manila to Nasugbu, Manila to Tagaytay, Manila to Laguna and Manila to Baguio. For Bicol and Eastern Visayas, see Legazpi to Manila, Naga to Manila, Camarines Norte to Manila, Sorsogon to Manila and Leyte to Manila.
Some northern operators run a small number of trips here too. Partas has a PITX counter (ground floor, Ticket Booth 6, Counter 8) with trips to Bangued and Laoag City (Manila to Laoag). GV Florida lists an evening PITX to Tuguegarao trip via Ilagan (Manila to Tuguegarao). Genesis lists P2P buses between PITX and Clark, Balanga (Bataan) and, through Saulog Transit, Naic and Ternate in Cavite (Manila to Pampanga).
Tickets and facilities
PITX uses a centralized boarding pass system and online booking, and the terminal houses restaurants, shops and services. Buy at the booth for your route, or book online with the operator, then go to the gate shown on the live schedule. Bicol booths are split into aircon (Ticket Booth 1) and non-aircon or ordinary (Travel Hub, 2nd floor).
Tips
- Use the live schedule. The terminal's live bus board shows your bus's gate and bay. Gates are assigned by route, not by company.
- Check the train station queue. If you arrive by LRT-1 at peak times, allow extra time for the station queue, as the operator itself has acknowledged long lines.
- Pick the right terminal for the north. PITX has Baguio buses, but Pangasinan, Ilocos and Cagayan are served mainly from Cubao and Sampaloc. See Baguio to Manila for the return trip.
- Expect Holy Week and holiday crowds. In March 2025 PITX and government agencies mobilised for a Holy Week passenger surge, so buy early when you can.
