Sri Lanka Railways announced in June 2026 that train services from Badulla to Nanu Oya had resumed after the Ambewela to Nanu Oya section, damaged by Cyclone Ditwah, was restored.[2] The railway lists first, second and third class and an observation saloon on its Colombo Fort to Badulla services.[3] Reserved seats are sold on the official booking site.
