Sa Kaeo is an eastern border province about 245 kilometres from Bangkok, and Aranyaprathet is its gateway to Cambodia.[1] Many travelers see it only on the way to the border, but the province also has national parks and Rong Kluea Market, which sells cheap and second-hand goods from both countries.[1]

The State Railway of Thailand's Eastern Line has ordinary trains from Hua Lamphong station in Bangkok to Sa Kaeo. In the 2026 timetable, train 275 leaves Hua Lamphong at 05:55 and reaches Sa Kaeo at 10:18, and train 279 leaves at 13:05 and reaches Sa Kaeo at 16:31. Both continue to Aranyaprathet, arriving at 11:11 and 17:21.[3] The SRT timetable system shows the fare for your ticket.
