Saudi low-cost airline flyadeal has entered the Indian market with a daily direct service between Hyderabad and Riyadh, adding another nonstop option for travel between South India and Saudi Arabia.
GMR Hyderabad International Airport said the airline will operate the Riyadh–Hyderabad–Riyadh route seven times a week with Airbus A320 aircraft. Earlier route announcements listed the service from 1 July 2026, while Hyderabad airport confirmed the launch in a 6 July media release and ETTravelWorld, citing PTI, reported that the first Riyadh arrival landed in Hyderabad on 4 July.
The published schedule lists the Riyadh to Hyderabad flight departing at 23:20 and arriving at 06:50 the next morning. The return service leaves Hyderabad at 07:55 and reaches Riyadh at 11:05. Times are local and should be rechecked at booking, as airline schedules can change.
For travellers in Telangana and the wider South India region, the route gives Hyderabad a direct low-cost link to the Saudi capital without routing through Mumbai, Delhi, Jeddah or Gulf hubs. Hyderabad airport says passengers can also use flyadeal’s Saudi domestic network for onward travel within the kingdom.
The route is likely to be useful for business travellers, visiting friends and relatives, expatriate traffic, religious travel connections and leisure trips in both directions. Riyadh has been expanding its tourism offer under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme, while Hyderabad continues to build its international network from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
Because flyadeal is a low-cost carrier, passengers should check the fare bundle carefully before booking. The airline promotes booking options such as fly, fly+ and flyMax, with differences around baggage, seat selection, changes and flexibility. Travellers connecting onward in Saudi Arabia should also leave enough transfer time and verify whether baggage is checked through or must be collected and rechecked.
Indian passport holders and other travellers should confirm Saudi visa and entry requirements before departure. Likewise, passengers travelling from Saudi Arabia to India should check Indian visa eligibility, passport validity and any airline documentation requirements before arriving at the airport.
