SWISS will launch a five-times-weekly nonstop service between Bengaluru and Zurich on 28 October 2026, creating a new direct link between southern India and the airline’s Swiss hub.
The route will operate as part of the 2026/27 winter timetable. Zurich-bound flight LX141 is scheduled to leave Bengaluru at 04:50 and arrive at 10:50 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The return service, LX140, is due to depart Zurich at 13:20 and reach Bengaluru at 02:55 the following day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
For visitors travelling to Bengaluru or continuing through southern India, the new flight adds another one-stop option from a wide range of European and North American cities via Zurich. It may also be useful for travellers combining Bengaluru with onward domestic flights: Bengaluru airport has extensive connections within India, though transfer times and baggage arrangements should be checked on the booked itinerary.
SWISS says Bengaluru will become its third destination in India, alongside Delhi and Mumbai. The airline is part of Lufthansa Group, and its Zurich hub offers onward connections across Europe and North America. Tickets are already on sale through SWISS and travel agents.
Mumbai–Munich A380 service
Lufthansa Group has also flagged additional capacity for India. A Lufthansa Group executive said in late July that Lufthansa was upgrading its Mumbai–Munich service with an Airbus A380. Schedule-industry reporting indicates that the larger aircraft is planned on the route during part of the 2026 summer and early-winter period, but aircraft assignments can change at short notice.
Travellers booking Mumbai–Munich specifically for the A380 should check the aircraft shown during booking and again shortly before departure. A booked flight remains subject to operational substitutions, and the aircraft type does not change the applicable fare, baggage allowance or entry requirements.
