TransNusa has launched a new non-stop link between Bali and Phuket, giving travellers another way to combine two of Southeast Asia’s most popular island destinations without changing planes in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore.
The inaugural TransNusa flight, 8B541, arrived at Phuket International Airport on 9 September 2026. The service connects I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali (DPS) with Phuket International Airport (HKT).
Four weekly flights at launch
The airline is operating the route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with a 174-seat Airbus A320-200. The scheduled Bali departure is 11:30 local time, with arrival in Phuket at 14:35 local time; Phuket is one hour behind Bali. The flight time is about four hours.
TransNusa has said it plans to increase the service to daily flights from 3 October 2026. Travellers should nevertheless check the airline’s booking system for the current operating days, departure times, fares and baggage conditions before making onward hotel, ferry or island-tour reservations.
An additional option for Bali and Phuket itineraries
The new service is particularly useful for travellers planning a multi-stop holiday across Indonesia and Thailand. It adds another direct-air option into Phuket, rather than requiring a separate connection through a regional hub. Phuket International Airport is on the north of the island, so allow additional ground-transfer time for resorts in Patong, Kata, Karon, Rawai or Phuket Old Town.
Passengers entering Thailand still need to meet the entry conditions that apply to their passport and travel purpose. Check passport validity, visa or visa-exemption eligibility, any arrival form requirements and proof of onward travel before departure. A direct flight does not change Thailand’s immigration rules.
