Cubao Bus Terminals, Quezon City: Victory Liner, Genesis, Partas and more

Last updated: October 11, 2026

"Cubao bus terminal" is not one building. It is a cluster of separate company terminals in Cubao, Quezon City, spread along EDSA, Aurora Boulevard and the Araneta City area. Victory Liner, Genesis (JoyBus), Five Star, Partas and several other lines each have their own terminal here. Most buses to Baguio, La Union, Ilocos, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Cabanatuan and Cagayan Valley leave from this district. The most useful fact is that the terminals sit a few minutes apart, so find out which company and which address your ticket names before you leave.

Location and how to get there

Cubao is a major rail interchange. LRT-2 and MRT-3 both have an Araneta Center-Cubao station, and Wikipedia describes the two as linked through local streets and mall passageways inside Araneta City. On the OpenStreetMap map, the terminals are roughly 350 to 600 meters in a straight line from the LRT-2 station:

  • Five Star (EDSA, near E. Rodriguez): about 350 meters
  • Baliwag Transit and Solid North: about 400 to 450 meters
  • Victory Liner (EDSA): about 500 meters
  • Genesis / JoyBus (704 EDSA corner New York Street): about 550 meters
  • Partas (816 Aurora Boulevard): about 600 meters
  • Araneta City Bus Port (General Romulo Avenue): about 600 meters, on the east side of Araneta City

These are straight-line distances, not walking routes, and crossing EDSA can add time. From Makati or Ortigas, MRT-3 along EDSA is the simplest way to Cubao. The PITX operator also lists an EDSA Carousel bus from Cubao to PITX. From Manila or Sampaloc, jeepneys and LRT-2 run to Cubao. A taxi or ride-hailing driver should be given the exact company terminal, not just "Cubao bus terminal".

The Araneta City Bus Port details rely on Wikipedia (as of September 2024) and the operator mix there has changed several times since 2020, so check before relying on it.

GoAsia guides for trips that start here: Quezon City to Baguio, Manila to Baguio, Manila to Laoag, Manila to La Union, Manila to Tuguegarao, Manila to Cagayan Valley, Quezon City to Banaue, Manila to Tarlac and Manila to Olongapo. For the return trip see Baguio to Quezon City, Laoag to Manila, La Union to Manila, Pangasinan to Manila and Nueva Ecija to Manila.

Tickets and facilities

  • Each company sells its own tickets. There is no shared ticket hall. Genesis lists a main terminal and inquiry numbers on its site (office hours 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday for phone inquiries). Partas sells online at partasbusticket.ph and at the terminal counter.
  • Online booking varies. Victory Liner's site says only limited trips are available online and tells passengers to buy at terminals. GV Florida and Partas have their own booking sites.
  • Facilities. Partas lists Wi-Fi waiting lounges, digital schedule boards, cargo counters and CCTV at its terminals. Facilities at the other company terminals differ and are not published in a single place.

Tips

  • Match company and terminal. The word "Cubao" on a ticket can mean any of the terminals above, including GV Florida's separate Cubao stop and the Araneta City Bus Port.
  • For Baguio you have several lines to choose from (Victory Liner, Genesis/JoyBus, Partas, Solid North). First class buses to Baguio leave from Cubao and Pasay, according to Victory Liner.
  • Northbound buses may run from other terminals too. Pasay, PITX and Caloocan also have northern services. Ask whether your bus really leaves from Cubao on the day you travel.
  • Allow time for traffic. EDSA and Aurora Boulevard are heavily congested at rush hour, so plan extra time to reach the terminal.
  • Keep your belongings close. As in any crowded Metro Manila terminal, keep bags in front of you.
