Maharana Pratap Inter State Bus Terminal, known to almost everyone as Kashmere Gate ISBT or Kashmiri Gate bus stand, is where you catch buses north out of Delhi: Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jaipur. Anand Vihar ISBT on the far side of the Yamuna handles many of the buses to Uttar Pradesh and the Kumaon hills.
Location and how to get there
The terminal is at Kashmere Gate in Old Delhi, and the metro station of the same name is right beside it. Gates 7 and 8 of the station open towards the bus terminal.[1] Kashmere Gate is an interchange for the Red, Yellow and Violet lines.[2] Chandni Chowk is one stop away on the Yellow Line, and Lal Qila (Red Fort) is the next stop on the Violet Line.[1] The station is open from 05:20 to 23:47.[1]

Gate 7 is the exit nearest the bus stand. Gate 4 comes out on GT Road and Shamnath Marg.[2] The interchange is large, so give yourself a few extra minutes to walk from the platforms to the street.
The metro beats a taxi or an app cab here, especially in the evening, when the roads around the terminal are jammed.
