Prague–Sihanoukville Charter Flights to Open a New Winter Route to Cambodia’s Coast

Direct charter flights between Prague and Sihanoukville are planned for Cambodia’s 2026/27 winter travel season, giving Czech and Central European holidaymakers a new one-stop-free route to the country’s southern coast.

According to Cambodia’s state news agency AKP, the weekly charter service is scheduled to operate from Dec. 19, 2026 to Apr. 3, 2027. The flights are expected to be operated by TUI Airways using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with 305 seats.

The route links Prague with Sihanoukville in Preah Sihanouk province, rather than Cambodia’s usual international gateways of Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. That puts arriving passengers directly on the coast, closer to beach resorts and ferry connections for Koh Rong, Koh Rong Sanloem and Koh Russey.

Czech tour operators Fischer and EXIM Tours are already advertising Cambodia holiday packages with direct Boeing 787-8 flights from Prague to Sihanoukville. Their listings indicate that the flights are being sold as part of package holidays, so independent travellers should check whether flight-only seats become available or whether booking is limited to tour packages.

Access to Cambodia’s coast and islands

Sihanoukville International Airport markets itself as Cambodia’s seaside and islands airport. The city is the main jump-off point for nearby islands, with speedboat services commonly used for Koh Rong, Koh Rong Sanloem and Koh Russey. AKP described Sihanoukville as about 185 kilometres southwest of Phnom Penh.

For travellers planning a wider Cambodia itinerary, the route may work well for a beach-first trip followed by domestic travel to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. Cambodia Airways recently added domestic links between Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville, but that is a separate development from the Prague charter route.
