KTX high-speed trains run from Seoul, Yongsan and Cheongnyangni stations to Yeosu, among other destinations.[1] One of the Yeosu stations on the booking lists is Yeosu-EXPO.[2] The train is the most direct city-to-city choice: no airport check-in, security or transfer into town, and it suits travelers with larger luggage.

Book early for Fridays, Sundays, holidays and festival periods, when Yeosu is a popular domestic destination.

Seoul to Yeosu by flight

Gimpo Airport operates domestic routes including Yeosu, and from Gimpo you reach downtown Seoul by AREX, subway, limousine bus, city bus or taxi.[4] The flight takes from about 1 hour in the air, and booking platforms list fares from about $35 up to about $75 (October 2026).[5] This does not include getting to the airport, check-in, security, baggage claim or the trip from Yeosu Airport into town, so the real time saving over the train shrinks if you stay in central Seoul.

Flying makes most sense if you start near Gimpo, if the departure time fits your plan or if you are connecting from another domestic flight. With checked luggage or sports gear, remember that missed check-in deadlines are less forgiving than on the train.

Seoul to Yeosu by bus

Express buses to Yeosu leave from the Central City Express Bus Terminal, which shares Express Bus Terminal station with the Seoul Express Bus Terminal (Lines 3, 7 and 9).[6] Tickets for express buses are sold at kobus.co.kr, and buses make scheduled stops at service areas.[6]
