Leaving behind the salty sea breeze and colonial charm of Xiamen for the monumental scale of Beijing is a long journey across China. While Xiamen offers a relaxed, coastal atmosphere with its pedestrian islands and subtropical gardens, Beijing greets you with the Forbidden City and the energy of the national capital. This route links the south-east coast with the north of the country.
Because this is one of China's major domestic corridors, you can choose between the high speed railway and a flight. The train takes the better part of a day, so many travelers fly, while others prefer to travel from city center to city center by rail. You can check availability and book your tickets through GoAsia.cc.

Xiamen to Beijing by Flight
Flying is the quickest way to bridge the gap between the south-east coast and the capital. Xiamen Airlines moved all of its Beijing flights to Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) on 29 March 2020. Daxing lies 46 km south of Tiananmen Square.[2] Beijing has a second airport, Capital (PEK), so check which one your ticket uses.
A nonstop flight is much shorter than the fastest train, which takes more than ten hours.[1] Add the time for the transfers to and from both airports and compare current schedules on the airline websites.
